Youth Tennis Program Returns for Summer 2021 in Farmingdale

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino is pleased to announce that the Town of Oyster Bay’s Youth Tennis Program will return this summer. Held at Ellsworth Allen Park in Farmingdale beginning on Tuesday, July 6th, this summer’s youth tennis program will feature two separate 6 week sessions, and will be open to boys and girls ages 5-8 year olds.

“The Town’s youth tennis program has quickly become one of the most popular recreational and instructional programs we offer! This program is a great opportunity for children with no prior tennis experience to learn the fundamentals of tennis directly from some of the area’s finest coaches,” Supervisor Saladino said. “I encourage those interested to register, and take advantage of this opportunity to expose your children to a new sport, and potentially discover a new passion!”

The Summer 2021 Youth Tennis Program is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of tennis in a structured setting, as well as help improve individual skills. No prior experience is necessary, but participants must bring their own rackets (all other equipment will be provided). Registration for both sessions in this program will begin on Wednesday, June 9th and will take place at Ellsworth Allen Park, located at 45 Motor Ave in Farmingdale. After this date, registration will be walk in only at Town Hall South in Massapequa.

Clinics will take place on the following schedule, with clinics lasting for 6 weeks:

  • Tuesdays beginning July 6th at Allen Park, Farmingdale – clinic for 5-6 year olds will take place from 6pm-6:50pm, with the clinic for 7-8 year olds following at 7pm-7:50pm.

  • Thursdays beginning July 8th at Allen Park, Farmingdale – clinic for 5-6 year olds will take from 6pm-6:50pm, with the clinic for 7-8 year olds following at 7pm-7:50pm.
