Apply Today for 20+ ‘Instant’ Permits Online
Save a trip to Town Hall! Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino, Councilman Lou Imbroto, and Town Clerk Rich LaMarca announced that the Town has added new projects residents can apply for through the online permit system which allows homeowners, businesses and contractors to fast-track the process of obtaining building permits.
Through the online permit system, residents can apply for more than 20 types of fast-order building permits – all from the convenience of their home or office. The Building Division Portal, accessible via the Town’s website, streamlines applications for projects like fences, generators, sprinkler systems, solar panels, and more – and now includes permits for residential pools, including aboveground or semi-inground pools without the addition of other structures (other than required fencing).
“The online permit system allows applicants to submit materials, track progress, schedule inspections, and receive updates – all without having to come to Town Hall,” said Supervisor Saladino. “Since the original rollout, we now accept commercial solar, commercial plumbing, and residential pool permits. In addition, the online system now accepts elevator license affidavits and renewal payments. We will continue look toward adding new projects for added convenience to our residents, businesses and contractors.”
The online portal also provides step-by-step instructions, checklists, and a full list of eligible permits. Homeowners can create an account, while contractors can request activation online. For more details, visit oysterbaytown.com/buildingportal.
