Sign Ups Begin Tuesday, May 26th
Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino announced today that registration for the Town’s Summer Swim Team begin on Tuesday, May 26th. The program is open to kids ages 6 to 16, and pool membership is required to join. Teams will be hosted at all four community pools: Syosset-Woodbury Park Pool, Marjorie Post Park Pool, Bethpage Community Pool, and Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Pool. Practices begin Monday, June 29th.
Supervisor Saladino stated, “I’m delighted to welcome back the Town of Oyster Bay’s beloved Swim Teams to all four Town pools this summer. This exciting activity offers young athletes a wonderful opportunity to improve swimming skills, learn good sportsmanship and practice teamwork through healthy exercise and competition.”
The program includes practices and dual meets each week, and teams will compete against other teams within the Nassau Municipal Swim Conference. Practices will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Meet schedules will be distributed at the first practice Monday, June 29th. A swim cap and t-shirt are included with registration.
Registration will be available online at www.oysterbaytown.com/sports starting Tuesday, May 26th. Pool membership is required for registration. There is a fee of $80 per swimmer.
