Town Honors Veterans & Military Heroes at Armed Forces Appreciation Day BBQ

Joined by hundreds of veterans and active-duty service members, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and his colleagues on the Town Board proudly hosted the Town’s Annual Armed Forces Appreciation Day on May 15, 2026. The event is held each year in May and is dedicated to the brave men and women who have answered the call to serve our great nation. Also in attendance was Nassau County Legislator Samantha Goetz.

Supervisor Saladino stated, “The men and women of our Armed Forces embody courage, sacrifice, and patriotism. This celebration is a heartfelt thank-you to those who have defended our freedoms, ensuring that America remains the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

The festivities included a complimentary All-American BBQ, live patriotic entertainment featuring the nationally acclaimed American Bombshells, and a special Salute to our Hometown Heroes, recognizing those who have served with honor.

Town Clerk Rich LaMarca added, “Today gives us the opportunity to come together in patriotic unity to honor those who have fought to protect our freedoms. God bless our troops, our veterans, and the United States of America!”
