As the calendar turns towards the fall, the Town of Oyster Bay is ensuring that the spirit of summer continues for residents just a little while longer as Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino announced that the Town will extend the beach season at TOBAY Beach throughout the month of September (the general beach season ends on Labor Day, September 7^th). Beach stickers for the 2026 season will be honored.

 

“We know how much our residents love their time by the water, and we don’t want summer to end just because the school year has begun,” said Supervisor Saladino. “To help you enjoy the sunshine and hold onto summer for a little longer, we’re extending access to TOBAY every weekend throughout September. We invite residents and their families to put their toes in the water and feet in the sand while enjoying some nice weather and savoring the last warm days of the season.”

 

TOBAY Beach will remain open with lifeguards on duty on the following weekends:

 

• Saturday & Sunday, September 12^th & 13^th
• Saturday & Sunday, September 19^th & 20^th
• Saturday & Sunday, September 26^th & 27^th

 

A September visit to TOBAY can be more than just a beach day! The extension of the beach season also coincides with two of the most popular programs held at TOBAY, the Waterfront Festival and Car Show. Residents visiting TOBAY on Sunday, September 13^th, can enjoy the Town’s free, family fun Waterfront Festival at TOBAY Marina (rain date September 20^th).
