Saladino Announces Walk Up Services for Residents to Access Building Department

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board announce that the Department of Planning and Development has opened a new walk-up annex to safely assist residents with building permit applications. Residents can access the new space, available in the parking lot at Town Hall North in Oyster Bay, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“From the onset of this public health crisis, Town government never shut down and our staff has been available to assist residents even with our buildings closed,” said Supervisor Saladino. “We have been working with our Planning and Development Department officials to ease the permit process for residents and this new facility will allow for those looking to file their paperwork to be able to speak directly with Departmental staff and efficiently move their process forward.”

The Town of Oyster Bay Department of Planning and Development’s new walk-up service is available at Town Hall North, located in the parking lot between 54 and 74 Audrey Avenue (near the elevator shaft) in Oyster Bay. For residents looking to drop off completed materials, or to pick up materials from the department, their drop box will remain available in the lobby of 74 Audrey Avenue. A walk-up window is also planned for the Planning and Development Department’s Satellite Office located in Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Road in Massapequa, in the coming weeks.

“With many families finding themselves spending more time at home, they may be delving into new projects such as a swimming pool, fencing, solar panels, permanent generators or plumbing, to name a few,” said Councilman Lou Imbroto. “Our planning experts are here to help you get your project underway and assist in obtaining proper materials needed to process your permit.”

Residents can access and print Building Permit applications from the Town’s website, www.oysterbaytown.com. For more information, residents can call (516) 624-6200.
