Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino announced that the Department of Community and Youth Services, Cultural and Performing Arts Division (CAPA) will be once again offering exciting cultural enrichment programs for the spring 2022 season, and registration for all applications is now open.
“I am pleased to announce that the Town’s Cultural Enrichment Program will return once again this spring, as these enrichment programs offer residents the opportunity to develop a new skill while having fun in the process,” Supervisor Saladino said. “Whether you’re an emerging artist or a resident looking for a new hobby, these classes offer a wonderful opportunity to broaden your horizons, and provide not only education but enjoyment as well.”
All of the classes will be held at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, located at 7800 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury NY, 11797. Classes fill up quickly and are available on a first come, first served basis. Registration forms can be found at www.oysterbaytown.com/CAPA. Workshop schedules are as follows:
- Watercolor – Beginners – 10 weekly sessions on Mondays, 9:30am-12:00pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on March 7th.
- Watercolor – Intermediate – 10 weekly sessions on Mondays, 12:30pm-3:00pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on March 7th.
- Painting in Oils – Beginners- 10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays, 9:30am-12:00pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on March 8th.
- Painting in Oils – Intermediate– 10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays, 12:30pm-3:00pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on March 8th.
- Drawing Fundamentals– 10 weekly sessions on Wednesdays, 9:30am-12:00pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on March 9th.
- *NEW* Painting with Acrylics- 10 weekly sessions on Fridays from 10:00am-12:30pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on March 11th.
