Saladino Announces Free Halloween Themed Drive-In Movie Series

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board are excited to announce a special Halloween-themed movie series at Town parks. Free pop-up theatres will offer drive-in experiences at four different showings throughout October, beginning Saturday, October 10th.  Drivers must show proof of Town residency.

Supervisor Joseph Saladino stated, “When you’re looking for kids’ Halloween movies to watch this October, look no further than your local town park for fun, not-so-spooky family films!  The Town Board and I invite you to join us at this free Halloween drive-in movie series.”

The following Halloween themed movies are playing at a pop-up theatre near you beginning at dusk:

  • Saturday, October 10th, at Harry Tappen Beach in Glenwood Landing:  The Addams Family (2019)

  • Friday, October 16th, at Ellsworth Allen Town Park in Farmingdale: Beetlejuice

  • Friday, October 23rd, at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park & Beach in Oyster Bay: Hocus Pocus

  • Saturday, October 24th, at Ellsworth Allen Town Park in Farmingdale: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas

Vehicles will be admitted to the parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 5pm the day of the event. For the safety of all residents, moviegoers must remain in their cars, and cars will be arranged in an appropriately socially distanced manner. Movies are subject to change and will be held weather permitting.  Call (516) 797-7925 for updated information. Additionally, there will be free popcorn offered on site.
