Car Show to Feature Live Music, Food, Awards, Antiques and Performances

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino today announced that the Town’s “Fall Car Classic” will be held on Sunday, October 1st at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“Anyone interested in vintage cars are sure to be impressed by the wide collection of classic automobiles expected to be featured at the event,” Supervisor Saladino said. “The Fall Car Classic promises to be a great opportunity to see how the owners of vintage cars have maintained their prized possessions so well, see a part of Americana culture up close, and help support a good cause as this event will help benefit Island Harvest Food Bank.”

Residents are invited to attend the Fall Car Classic, free of charge, but all attendees are encouraged to bring two cans of food, which will be donated to Island Harvest to help in their fight against hunger. The event will feature live music, food, awards, antiques and performances throughout the day.

“The Town has a long history of supporting Island Harvest’s mission and recently partnered over the past few weeks to initiate unprecedented and overwhelmingly well received relief supply drives for victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma,” Supervisor Saladino said. “Island Harvest is a fantastic organization who works tirelessly to end the fight against hunger throughout Long Island, and I’m proud that the Town can help support their organization and its mission through events such as this.”
