Free Family Fun Including Boat Trips, Kayaking Tours, Fishing Lessons, Science Activities and more!
In cooperation with the Long Island Sound Partnership, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board invite you to the Long Island Sound Exploration Day. The event will take place on Saturday, August 15th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in front of The Waterfront Center located at 1 West End Avenue, Oyster Bay. This ‘Celebration of Long Island Sound,’ also held in partnership with The Waterfront Center, New York Sea Grant, and NYSDEC, will host a schedule of events including a beach cleanup, boat rides, kayak tours, and bird walks, as well as all day activities such as fishing lessons, arts & crafts, science games, and more.
Supervisor Saladino stated, “Join us August 15th at the Long Island Sound Exploration Day for free family fun, hands-on science activities, and the opportunity to discover the beauty of our local waters. We are grateful to our partner, the Long Island Sound Partnership, for helping inspire the next generation of environmentalists.”
