Summer is almost here and Councilman Steve Labriola invites residents to take part in a new outdoor co-ed volleyball at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings beginning July 9th.
“Volleyball is a great way to kick-start a fun and active summer. This new and exciting recreational program is open to residents age 18 and older,” Councilman Labriola said. “This sports program offers healthy competition, exercise and a great social opportunity for making new friends.”
The 10-week Summer Nights Co-Ed Outdoor Volleyball program begins on Tuesday, July 9th and will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Registration takes place on Sunday, June 2nd from 12pm to 3pm, Monday, June 3rd from 6pm to 10pm, and Thursday, June 6th from 6pm to 9pm at the Hicksville Athletic Center, located at 167 Broadway in Hicksville. The cost of enrollment is $75 for residents or $100 for nonresidents. Games will be played on a concrete surface and participants are encouraged to bring their own protective gear.
