Councilman Hand Announces Free Musical Performances at Local Libraries in November and December

Oyster Bay Town Councilman Thomas Hand today announced that the Distinguished Artists Concert Series will host multiple performances throughout the months of November and December 2018 at local libraries throughout the Town.

“The Distinguished Artists Concert Series provides free musical and dance programs for the enjoyment of our residents,” said Councilman Hand. “I encourage residents to take advantage of these wonderful performances offered by the Town for free at local libraries.”

Scheduled performances for November and December include:

  • The New Vintage Orchestra on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:30 pm at the Farmingdale Public Library – performing “Hits of a Lifetime”.
  • Washington Square Winds on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Jericho Public Library – featuring music composed around the world from 1700 to the present day.
  • Gene Casey & The Lone Sharks on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Bethpage Public Library – rockabilly, twang and Johnny Cash-style country music.
  • The Long Island Classic Jazz Ensemble on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 2:30 pm at the Farmingdale Public Valley Library.
  • Sasha Papernik & Her Band on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Syosset Public Library – The Burt Bacharach and Hal David Songbook.
