Annual Town of Oyster Bay Bluefish Tournament & Snapper Derby 

**Scheduled for September 15, 2024**

Fishing enthusiasts and their families are invited to participate in this time honored tradition! This fishing tournament is located in beautiful Oyster Bay Harbor and launches out of Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and Beach in Oyster Bay. Whether it is skill, or a little bit of luck, fisherman will hunt the waters for the largest Bluefish caught with 12 hours on the clock. A weigh in and awards ceremony will greet you as you pull back to shore along with a BBQ tailgate and door prizes.

Empire State Ride Long Island

**Scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024**

In partnership with Empire State Ride Long Island to host Long Island’s largest charitable bike ride to benefit cancer research. The event features three course lengths for riders of all ages and ability. All routes will begin on Audrey Avenue in Oyster Bay, by the historic Oyster Bay Post Office. For those who can’t cycle but wish to attend and support the event, downtown Oyster Bay will also host a street fair, hosted in partnership with the Oyster Bay Main Street Association and Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce – as local businesses will line the streets with food, live music and fun activities for families. Runner’s Edge TOBAY Triathlon and Jr. Triathlon

**Scheduled for August 24 (junior triathlon) & August 25, 2024**

Athletes complete a rigorous three course event in the greater Oyster Bay area.  The Triathlon begins with a ½ mile swim in Oyster Bay Harbor, into a 15k bike course, and finishing up with a 5k run through the Town of Oyster Bay’s pristine gold coast. Registration begins in February. Junior athletes are encouraged to participate in the JR. Triathlon on the Saturday before this event. Town of Oyster Bay Anti-Bullying & Walk for Autism

**Scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2024**

Participants will walk through scenic Bethpage Community Park in Bethpage and registrants will receive entrance to the post-walk tailgate party with refreshments and free T-shirts while supplies last. The walk will benefit Advantage Care Health Center’s Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities, one of the leading treatment and outpatient assessment programs for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Supervisor’s 5K Run

**Scheduled for October 19, 2024**
