HELP STOP HIGH DENSITY APARTMENT BUILDINGS IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
Albany wants to rezone Long Island from a distance – and we’re not going to let that happen.
Once again State lawmakers in Albany are trying to override local zoning laws to allow for high-density apartment buildings to flood our neighborhoods in Nassau County. Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board are joining County Executive Bruce Blakeman in leading the charge to stop them!
State lawmakers have proposed The Revive Act; a plan that would strip cities, towns, and villages of their zoning authority and allow for fast-track high-density housing regardless of local laws.
Supervisor Saladino stated, “Once again, a New York City–driven Albany agenda is threatening our suburban way of life. Albany wants to strip local zoning authorities and hand control of our neighborhoods to state bureaucrats leading to no local voice, no community say, and no public input. We will continue to stand firm and fight back — because decisions about our neighborhoods must be made locally, not dictated from Albany.”
We’re counting on you to help us Save our Suburbs, save our environment and save our way of life. Please sign the petition and let Governor Kathy Hochul know that you say no to this plan that will overwhelm our neighborhoods, threaten our schools, our streets, our environment, and our quality of life!
