Saladino Announces Fall 2019 Cultural Enrichment Workshops for Adults

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino today announced that the Department of Community and Youth Services, Cultural and Performing Arts Division (CAPA) will be once again offering exciting cultural enrichment programs for the fall 2019 season, andregistration for all applications is now open. “I am pleased to announce that the Town’s Cultural Enrichment Program will return once again this fall, as these enrichment programs offer residents the opportunity to develop a new skill while having fun in the process,” Supervisor Saladino said. “Whether you’re an emerging artist or writer looking to sharpen your skills or a resident looking for a new hobby, these classes offer a wonderful opportunity to broaden your horizons, and provide not only education but enjoyment as well.” All of the classes will be held at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, located at 7800 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury, except for the Astrology and Meditation and Spiritual Awakening workshops, which will be held at North Massapequa Community Center, 214 N. Albany Avenue in Massapequa. Classes fill up quickly and are available on a first come, first served basis. Workshop schedules are as follows:

Memories into Memoirs- 10 weekly sessions on Mondays, 10am-11am at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on September 23rd.
Watercolor- 10 weekly sessions on Wednesdays, 12:30pm-3pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 2nd.
Painting in Oils – Beginners- 10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays, 9:30am-12pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 1st.
Painting in Oils – Intermediate- 10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays, 12:30pm-3pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 1st.
Drawing Fundamentals- 10 weekly sessions on Wednesdays, 9:30am-12pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 2nd.
Sumi-E Painting- 10 weekly sessions on Thursdays from 10:30am-1pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 3rd.
Abstract Painting- 10 weekly sessions on Fridays, 10am-12:30pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 4th.
Let’s Make Beautiful Jewelry- 10 weekly sessions on Tuesdays, 7pm-8:30pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on October 1st.
Astrology- 4 weekly sessions on Tuesdays, 7pm-9pm at the North Massapequa Community Center, beginning on October 29th.
Meditation and Spiritual Awakening- 4 weekly sessions on Thursdays, 7pm-9pm at the North Massapequa Community Center, beginning on October 17th.
Psychic Development- 4 Weekly sessions on Thursdays, 7pm-8:30pm at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, beginning on September 26th.
