Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino today announced that the Town of Oyster Bay is partnering with Drug Free Long Island, Bikers Against Heroin and Nassau County to host a Health and Awareness Day event on Saturday, May 11th from 12pm-3pm at TOBAY Beach. Prior to the Health and Awareness Day event official start, motorcyclists are invited to join Bikers Against Heroin and ride to TOBAY Beach from Syosset-Woodbury Community Park.
Supervisor Saladino stated, “It is so important that we gather at events like this to strengthen awareness, advocacy and empowerment in our local communities in the fight to transform Long Island into a drug free environment. I am proud to partner with Drug Free LI and Bikers Against Heroin for this amazing event, and encourage residents to come down to TOBAY beach for a day of informative fun for parents and children alike!”
Motorcyclists are invited to gather at 12:00 pm at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park, from where they will ride down Route 135 and Ocean Parkway, ending at TOBAY Beach for the event official kick-off at 1pm. The Health and Awareness Day event will feature 20+ vendors, kids’ games, food, and information tables on the importance of public awareness, education, empowerment and advocacy to promote safe and healthy communities throughout Long Island.
