Town of Oyster Bay residents looking to ice skate this February during Presidents’ week can head on over to the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Rink at 1001 Stewart Ave, in Bethpage which will be offering special Public Session Schedules for that week, according to Town Councilwoman Michele M. Johnson.
“During Presidents’ week when most schools are closed, the Town Ice Rink will have a modified holiday schedule in an effort to accommodate everyone’s schedule and ensure that they can still enjoy skating at all Town Ice Rinks,” Councilwoman Johnson said. “I encourage anyone who enjoys ice skating and is off from school or work during Presidents’ week to take advantage of the special public sessions offered by the Ice Skating Rink.”
The special Public Session Schedules at the Town’s Ice Skating Rink will begin on Saturday, February 18 and continue until Sunday, February 26. On Saturday, February 18 there will be ice skating sessions available from 1-3 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m. On Sunday, February 19 there will be public sessions available at 1-3 p.m., 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. From Monday, February 20 through Thursday, February 23 there will be public sessions available at 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-3 p.m., 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. On Friday, February 24 there will be public sessions available at 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-3 p.m., 4-6 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. On Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26, there will be public sessions available at 1-3 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Councilwoman Johnson advises residents that the session times for the special Public Session Schedules at the Ice Skating Rink are subject to change. Additionally, please note that the programs run by The Rinx Skating School will be affected by the extended Holiday Schedule.
