With the coldest temperatures and lowest wind chills of the winter season impacting the region, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino today announced that the following Warming Center location will be open to residents beginning today, Tuesday, December 26th through Saturday, December 30th:
- Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center – 1001 Stewart Avenue, Bethpage.
Hours of Operation: 9:00am – 11:00pm

Supervisor Saladino reminds residents that individuals in need of emergency housing may contact the Nassau County Winter Homeless Hotline – 1-866-WARMBED – which is open and operates seven days a week through March 31st. Between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. Monday thru Thursday, and Friday from 6:00 p.m. thru Monday at 8:00 a.m., employees from the Department of Social Services (DSS) will make appropriate referrals and provide shelter placement. Between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, call the Department of Social Services at (516) 227-8519.
