Saladino Announces 34th Bluefish Tournament Registration

Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Joseph Saladino today announced that registration is open for the 34rd Annual Bluefish Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, September 15th and held at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and Beach, in Oyster Bay. “This all-day sporting event is open to anglers of all ages but space is limited, so sign up quickly,” Supervisor Saladino said. “This annual event that is beloved by residents all across the Town features hours of fun fishing followed by a tailgate party with refreshments, raffles and awards. Anyone who registers prior to September 10th will receive a tournament T-shirt and be automatically entered in a special raffle. Residents can pick up registration forms at all Town facilities.” The tournament runs from 4:30am to 4pm. Registration is limited with entry fees discounted for Town residents. Costs to enter are $35 per fisherman for residents and $45 for non-Town residents. Prizes are awarded for 1st through 15th place, with 1st place winner receiving a $2,000 gift card and plaque. Raffle prizes include Solstice inflatable boats and Mercury outboards, rods, reels, ice chests, restaurant certificates and more.
