Parks Division-main

The Parks Division has the responsibility of operating and maintaining the more than 150 parks and parklets located throughout the Town. These parks, totaling more than 800 acres, contain a myriad of facilities ranging from children’s play areas and ball fields to swimming pools and ice rinks. There are 150 parklets situated in neighborhoods throughout Oyster Bay.

The Parks Department also operates a number of major sports/recreation complexes. These are available to Town sports leagues on a first come-first serve basis. Call the Recreation Division at 797-4120 for reservations.

Field of Dreams
Old Sunrise Highway, Massapequa – 10 acres
This sports complex comprises two state-of-the-art, multi-use lighted playing fields, a practice field, a basketball court, playground and restrooms.

John J. Walker Memorial Park
Andrews Road, Hicksville – 3.9 acres
This facility provides a lighted, multi-use field (baseball, football, soccer and lacrosse) with a FieldTurf surface, a playground and restrooms.

Cpl. Kevin T. Kolm Memorial Park
Intersection of Old Country Road and Plainview Road, Hicksville – 3.5 acres
Provides a regulation soccer field with a FieldTurf surface for local leagues and a playground.

Borella Field
Plainview Road, Bethpage – 10.27 acres
This complex features two Little League diamonds and one regulation diamond, as well as one soccer field.

The Parks Division also operates all Town parklets, which are open daily from dawn to dusk to all Town residents.
