Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Michele Johnson reminds residents that the deadline is approaching to pre-register for the 2024 Summer Recreation Program. Anyone interested in having their children participate in this summer’s program must upload all necessary documents and materials for review in advance of the final registration period. All materials are due by Friday, March 22nd.
“The Town’s six-week Summer Recreation Program is a fun opportunity for children ages 4-12 to enjoy all that summer has to offer at our local parks while enjoying activities and making friends,” said Councilwoman Johnson. “With full-day options again available at Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa, Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Park and Syosset-Woodbury Community Park, as well as our traditional programs at Ellsworth Allen Park in Farmingdale, Harry Tappen Beach in Glen Head and Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay, we look forward to another successful summer of fun!”
The pre-registration period, which is mandatory prior to final registration this spring, is performed fully online. Once all documentation is properly uploaded, parents/guardians will receive notification of approval to register, as well as directions for final registration.
This year’s Summer Recreation Program will once again include full-day options as well as the traditional program for children ages 4 through 12. Space is limited at each facility. Pre-registration does not guarantee a spot in this year’s Summer Recreation Program.
