Oyster Bay Town Councilman Louis Imbroto today announced that the Distinguished Artists Concert Series will host multiple performances throughout the month of October 2018 at local libraries throughout the Town.
“The Distinguished Artists Concert Series provides free musical and dance programs for the enjoyment of our residents,” said Councilman Imbroto. “I encourage residents to take advantage of these wonderful performances offered by the Town for free at local libraries.”
Scheduled performances for October include:
- Mambo Loco on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Locust Valley Library – playing the best of old-school Latin and Latin jazz.
- Something Special Big Band on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Bethpage Library – one of the finest nostalgia/jazz swing bands in the New York-Long Island area.
- The Hambones on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Jericho Library – a well-crafted mix of classic country/rockability and blues from the 50’s to today.
- The Guthrie Brothers Scarborough Fair on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Locust Valley Library – a note-for-note performance of Simon & Garfunkel’s best-known songs presented with history and humor.
