VETERANS ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Town Veterans Advisory Council (TVAC) was formed in 2001 to focus on a wide range of veterans issues and establish a network of communication between the veteran community throughout the Town of Oyster Bay and the Office of the Supervisor. The council also works on methods to resolve individual concerns and assist veterans with matters under Town jurisdiction.

The council comprises representatives from various veterans’ organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, Veterans of the Vietnam War, Korean War Veterans of Nassau County, Disabled American Veterans, Jewish War Veterans of Nassau County, Amvets, the Marine Corps League, Catholic War Veterans, American Merchant Marine and U.S. Navy Waves National.
