Walsh Announces Free Musical Performances at Local Libraries in March

Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Vicki Walsh today announced that the Town’s Department of Community and Youth Services will be offering free musical performances during the month of March 2020 at local libraries throughout the Town to continue the 2019-2020 Distinguished Artists Concert Series, which will continue to run monthly through May 2020.

 

Councilwoman Walsh stated, “The Cultural and Performing Arts (CAPA) Division of the Department of Community and Youth Services has worked tirelessly over the years to bring our residents the finest entertainment possible, providing a wide spectrum of music, comedic and dramatic programs to suit every taste. The Distinguished Artists Concert Series is a great example of this, and I encourage residents looking to expand their cultural palette to take advantage of these free concert held each month at local libraries.”

 

Upcoming performances for March 2020 include:

 

  • Napoleon Revels-Bey – Al Andalusia to Dizzy, the Old and New World Connection Through the Roots of the Clave on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 2pm at the Locust Valley Public Library.

 

  • The Golden Chords – A Tribute to the Music of Bob Dylan on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Jericho Public Library (tickets required for performances at Jericho Public Library as space is limited, tickets available at the library beginning on February 12, 2020, for more information call 516-935-6790.)

 

  • Lee Glantz – A Tribute to the Music of Cole Porter on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Syosset Public Library.

 

  • The Chamlins – Cabaret Couple featuring the Songs of the Ladies of Tin Pan Alley onSunday, March 29, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Hicksville Public Library.
