The Town of Oyster Bay’s Children’s Magical Music & More program continues into February starting with “Bubblemania,” a show that is loaded with visual comedy, quick wit, big band swing music and the untamed, often unbelievable qualities and beauty of bubbles. Bubblemania will be held at the Massapequa Public Library, located at 40 Harbor Lane, Massapequa on Sunday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m. and is free to all Town residents, Acting Town Supervisor and Councilman Joseph D. Muscarella announced.

“Residents are certain to enjoy Bubblemania as the bubble creations featured in the show grow from intricate and imaginative bubble artforms to “trapping” people inside bubbles,” Councilman Muscarella stated. “The Town’s Children’s Magical Music & More program continues to provide free quality entertainment to families and children around the Town of Oyster Bay. Bubblemania is just one of the many Children’s Magical Music & More performances scheduled to perform throughout the year.”

Councilman Muscarella went on to say that the Town will host a second Children’s Magical Music & More performance in February with “Ballet Long Island: Sleeping Beauty.”  Sleeping Beauty is the classic fairy tale for generations. This is a special one hour version perfect for all ages. Sleeping Beauty fills the stage with familiar characters including Princess Aurora, the Handsome Prince, the King and Queen and their splendid Royal Court. This performance will take place on Wednesday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethpage Public Library located at 47 Powell Ave, in Bethpage.

The Children’s Magical Music & More series is sponsored by the Cultural and Performing Arts (CAPA) Division of the Town of Oyster Bay’s Department of Community & Youth Services. For further information call 797-7900 or visit the Town’s website www.oysterbaytown.com.
