Councilwoman Johnson Announces Art Jewelry-Making Painting Writing Classes for Adults

Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Michele Johnson today announced the Department of Community and Youth Services, Cultural and Performing Arts Division (CAPA) is offering exciting enrichment programs for the spring 2019 season, and registration for all applications is open from now until Friday, February 22nd.

“Whether you are an emerging artist or writer looking to sharpen your skills or a resident looking for a new hobby, these classes offer a wonderful opportunity to broaden your horizons,” said Councilwoman Johnson. “These enrichment programs offer residents the opportunity to develop a new skill while having fun in the process.”

All of the classes will be held at the Syosset-Woodbury Community Center, 7800 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury. Workshops include: Memories into Memoirs; Watercolor; Painting in Oils; Drawing Fundamentals; Sumi-E; Abstract Painting; Psychic Development; and Let’s Make Beautiful Jewelry.
