Application Deadline for Entries Set for February 14

The Town of Oyster Bay and the Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council will hold the 2017 Talent Competition on Saturday, March 4, at the Seymour Weiner Theatre at the Long Island High School for the Arts located at 239 Cold Spring Road, in Syosset, Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Michele M. Johnson announced.

“The Talent Competition is open to all students from Kindergarten through 12th grade who reside in or attend school within the Town of Oyster Bay. The 2017 Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council Talent Competition celebrates the extraordinary talents and inspiring performances by the Town’s young residents through vocal, instrumental music, dance, magic, drama, and comedy,” Councilwoman Johnson said.

Residents who are interested in performing in this year’s Talent Competition should CLICK HERE for a copy of the application. Also, those interested can visit the Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council’s website directly at www.tobac.org for a copy of the application.

Councilwoman Johnson additionally noted that the deadline for the application for this year’s competition is Tuesday, February 14. The price for an individual performer is $20. A group performance of more than one member pays $10 for each member. Payments should be made by mailing the application form and a check to the Town of Oyster Bay Arts Council, 977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa NY 11758. Application fees are non-refundable.

“As in years past, this annual Talent Competition promotes the celebration of performing, and visual arts within our local communities, symbolizing everything the Arts Council stands for,” Councilwoman Johnson said.
