The Town of Oyster Bay 2017 Distinguished Artists Concert series continues into February with several enjoyable performances scheduled to take place at various libraries throughout the Town, according to Oyster Bay Town Councilman Anthony D. Macagnone.
“Through the years, the Distinguished Artists concert series has become one of the most popular programs offered by the Town of Oyster Bay,” Councilman Macagnone stated. “Admission to each performance is free and each concert provides residents with the opportunity to witness some of the finest cultural and performing arts entertainment within the comfort of various local libraries.”
Councilman Macagnone noted that there are four performances scheduled for February:
-On Sunday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. there will be a performance by the pianist Vladimir Zaitsev, who will perform “From Baroque to Beatles;” a solo piano performance to be held at the Jericho Public Library, 1 Merry Lane, Jericho. All are welcome to attend but this performance requires a ticket. To receive a ticket, please call the Jericho Public Library at 516-935-6790, ext. 19.
-On Sunday, February 12, at 2:00 p.m., singer JayCee Driesen will perform “Tribute to the Divas-Barbra, Bette, Adele, Cher, Judy & More!” at the Bethpage Public Library, 47 Powell Ave, Bethpage.
-On Sunday, February 19, at 2:00 p.m., piano duo and violinist The Polezhayev Family Ensemble will perform at the Locust Valley Library, 170 Buckram Road, Locust Valley.
-On Sunday, February 26, at 1:00 p.m., violin and cello duo Gemini Journey will perform “A Magical Musical Tour Around the World” at the Massapequa Public Library, 40 Harbor Lane, Massapequa.
